Screening of "Call Me Dad"
David Nugent from Heavy Metal Group has partnered with Hallam Senior College as a part of their Vcal program to put together a community project to spread and raise awareness of domestic violence and the physical and psychosocial impact that it has on all women in not just our country but worldwide.
We aim to raise funds to support women in need, for women that can't afford to get help, for women who are trapped with not only themselves but their children too, and have no money to seek enough support.
To bring this issue to light we are hosting this event which will hopefully raise enough awareness and funds to help support women in need, and with the help of you and your support we can accomplish this.

Call Me Dad is a story about men who have perpetrated, or are at risk of perpetrating, family violence. At stake is the safety of children and partners, the stability of families, and the power we as a society have to intervene. These men struggle to maintain intimate relationships without resorting to abuse, physical or otherwise. We follow these men over several months, as they attempt to change themselves, and heal fragile bonds with their loved ones.
All funds raised from this screening will go towards supporting the women & children who are victims of family violence, who otherwise would be unable to access the Heavy Metal womens support services.
Hear from David and Jacqui from Heavy Metal who will be available for Q and A after the movie.
